Our Story

In Ricky’s Italian and Portuguese family, bread and cheese were permanent staples, making it nearly impossible for him to not feel a deep connection to those foods. From those early days with Mom and Grandmas to the 20 plus years of his culinary career, Baking and Pastry has fulfilled his soul. Ricky has always daydreamed of what it would be like to open his own bakery. Now, he is bringing his dream to life. 

Rind And Wheat brings seasonal and cultural breads, baked goods, and artisan cheeses to the Inland Northwest that we’re proud to call home. The team sources ingredients to celebrate the local grain and produce economies and then transforms them to accompany a cheese board, be slathered on a slice of sourdough or become the filling of a European butter danish. Ricky’s mission is to provide you with an approachable experience to discover unique and worldly flavors. 

We also are proud to offer wholesale and catering to customers and loacl businesses in and around the Inland Pacific Northwest.
